Your gift is helping to address the systemic roots of antisemitism and racism.

Our advocacy agent, the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA), works with all levels of government, local Jewish community partners, and all allies from other diverse minorities to combat antisemitism online and in the real world. Along with CIJA, we are working with several Jewish and non-Jewish community and government partners in addressing the systemic roots of antisemitism and racism and their direct manifestations.

Holocaust education remains essential to foster awareness and a respect for diversity among citizens.

Despite the ongoing pandemic the Montreal holocaust museum reopened to school visitors and guided tours, helping to educate people of all ages and backgrounds about the holocaust

In 2021 the antisemitism task force was created and a combatting antisemitism framework has been developed to help combat the rise in antisemitism

elementary and high school students visited the museum in person

French-language guided tours were provided to the broader Quebec community

THE COMMUNITY SECURITY NETWORK: KEEPING OUR COMMUNITY, SCHOOLS, SYNAGOGUES, AND COMMUNAL INSTITUTIONS SAFE

Federation CJA’s Community Security Network (CSN) is leading a collaborative, community-wide effort to increase security preparedness, and is working to enhance the safety and security of the Montreal Jewish community, by providing vital information, coordination, security training, and physical security upgrades to our participating organizations—all made possible by your gift.

The CSN serves as a point of contact for critical incident coordination, information, and intelligence sharing, as well as safety and security training for a team of volunteers. This is vital in ensuring community members can continue living Jewish life to its fullest without fear.
