As we look back on the past year, it’s hard not to be incredibly proud of what we accomplished together. Woven throughout this report are just some of the ways our community continued to help change and improve lives here and around the world since the start of the pandemic.

Our 2021-2022 Annual Report is a journey through the past 12 months. It highlights the impact of your generous support and serves as a testament to the power of community and working TOGETHER. Thanks to our incredible community, we have helped thousands of people here in Montreal, in Israel, and around the world—making sure that no one is left behind.

The past year was not without its challenges. The war in Ukraine has created a massive humanitarian crisis. We still face significant physical, emotional, psychological, and financial trauma from the pandemic. Antisemitism continues to spread at an alarming rate, and anti-Israel rhetoric is growing louder each day.

It is for these reasons and more that Federation CJA exists. Along with our partners, we support a vital safety net that quickly identifies emerging needs and life-threatening emergencies, and we can share information and mobilize immediate response when necessary. Never has this been more apparent than in the past few years, where we participated in efforts to assist Ukrainian Jews, provided emergency funding for our vulnerable, safeguarded our community and our children, and so much more.

The lessons we’ve learned over the past two years will serve us well moving forward.

Thank you to the members of our community who, during this time, answered the call and responded generously to ensure the survival of our Jewish community and that of our brothers and sisters across the globe. Our Jewish community is strong and growing – and our future is truly bright.

We are beyond grateful for your support, partnership, and trust in us, and for the amazing leadership of our partner organizations for their dedicated service to our community here, in Israel, and around the world. We are especially proud of our partnership and collaboration with the Jewish Community Foundation. We thank you again for your continued support and commitment to our community—without it, we could not have accomplished anything.

Please join us in celebrating our shared victories as we continue our mission to ensure that our community thrives in our rapidly changing world from generation to generation. We’re incredibly grateful that we’re in this together.
